10. How Many Commercials Can I Submit?

  • Each individual entrant is allowed a total of ten submissions, as long as the same (or substantially similar) submission is not uploaded more than one time throughout the entry period.

11. What About Group Submissions?

  • If any group of individuals elects to collaborate on a submission video, they are required to designate one representative to enter the contest and accept any awarded prize on behalf of the group.

12. Will I Be Able To View My Video After I Have Submitted It?

  • All Submissions will be reviewed for content and then posted on our YouTube Channel (www.youtube.com/SkinitTV) for the public to view and rate their favorites. Weight will be given to each video’s rating on YouTube in the judging process.

13. What If I Don't See My Submission On The Youtube Page?

  • Entries do not appear on our YouTube page right away. Usually, it will take about 48 hours to process through our initial screening. If you still don’t see your video posted after 3 days, there could be a few reasons why. For instance, it may not have made it through the initial approval process. Make sure to read through the Official Rules carefully to see if your video stays within the guidelines of the contest. If you feel that the video is qualified, contact us and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

14. What Brands, Logos, and Devices can I Show? Do I Need to Get Approvals First?

  • In regards to the devices used, the commercial must stay very generic. For instance, you are able to show iPods, however you cannot say iPod -- you would instead say “MP3 players.” For any device, you will have to mask out the manufacturer's logo (i.e. the M logo on a Motorola phone, or the HP logo on an HP laptop). As for the brand logos, you can use logos for the licensed content available on Skinit.com - however we will have to get each licensor's approval prior to airing the commercial(s) that is/are selected. Just keep this in mind and be sure to use their logos respectfully. Also - there are some restrictions on our licensed content which prevents certain brands/designs from being available on certain devices (e.g. the only phones that have NFL content available are Sprint Motorola phones). You can double check that the design is available for a device by trying to purchase it on our site. You won't be able to purchase it if it's restricted. You can always email us if you have questions

15. How Can I Get Skins for my Commercial?

  • You can order any skins off of our website, www.skinit.com, for your commercial. We are offering you a 20% discount (excluding shipping and handling) on your order – just use the coupon code SPOTLIGHT20.

16. What About Skin Animations or Other Files to Use in my Commercial?

  • If you need images of our designs to create the shots and/or animations you need for your commercial, we are happy to support you there. Every design on our site has a design code underneath the thumbnail. For example, the code for the Alabama State Hornets (http://www.skinit.com/skins/collegiate/colleges/alabama_state_university) is ALABMA02. If you need the design files – just email contest@skinit.com with the codes of the designs you want.

17. What are the Storyboard entry requirements?

  • We have expanded our contest to now accept Storyboard submissions in addition to videos. A storyboard is an expression of everything that will be contained in the commercial -- what each frame will look like, what pictures (still and moving) will be seen when and for how long, what music, audio voice over, dialogue, and/or text will accompany the images, etc. To submit your storyboard, fill out the submission form and select the “storyboard” option. You will then receive an email with your Submission ID – please reply to that email and attach your storyboard. Storyboards must be submitted in PDF format and include your Submission ID in the file name.

18. What If I Still Have Questions?

  • If you still have more questions or need more information, please contact us at contest@skinit.com and we will do our best to get back to you within 1-3 business days.
